A 3-year postdoctoral position in accelerating drug discovery by 3D Electron Diffraction is available at Novartis Biomedical Research in Basel, Switzerland, with a planned start date of 1st October 2026, under my supervision.
The position is intended for a candidate immediately following their PhD training (PhD graduation in 2026).
The application deadline is very tight: 16th July 2026
The project focuses on the development and application of 3D-ED methods to solve challenging structural problems relevant to pharmaceutical research. The successful candidate will work at the interface of crystallography and drug discovery/development, helping to expand crystal structure determination (including absolute structure), from nanocrystalline samples.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated PhD graduate with a background in crystallography and electron diffraction to develop cutting-edge methodologies within an industrial research environment.
