Dear Colleagues,
I hope this email finds you well and that you are enjoying the summer. Since there is no ECM in 2026 due to the IUCr Congress taking place in Calgary, the ECA Council Meeting will take place online on Monday 21st and Tuesday 22nd September from 13:00 – 15:00 CEST both days.
Please find attached an agenda for the business that will be covered during this meeting. Beyond the annual activities of approving the accounts and budget for ECA’s business, you will also see that you will be voting on the location of ECS13, a change to the our Bylaws relating to the George Sheldrick Prize, a modification to the membership terms of GIG-01, and you will hear from and vote to approve a proposal to create a new SIG focused on Mathematical Crystallography.
I will provide an update in the coming weeks with Zoom links and also a shared folder where reports and presentations will be made available prior to the meeting.
It is important that we have sufficient voting councillors present at the meeting, so please confirm to both me and Kasia so that we know that you will be present as a National Member representative. If you are unable to attend these meetings then please contact us with the name and email address of an appropriate substitute.
