The Institute of Polymer Nanotechnology bridges the gap from fundamental science to industrial technologies in its field. Your task includes the management of the institute, with highly qualified personnel in both locations. The successful acquisition of industry-related research projects is of primary importance. You are invited to teach related topics at bachelor/master level and to supervise student projects. Last but not least, you will foster and enlarge the strong network with industry and academia in Switzerland and abroad.

You have a PhD in polymer chemistry, materials science, nanotechnology or a related topic. You are familiar with the research environment at PSI as well as at the School of Engineering FHNW, preferably from personal experience. You have an outstanding track record in academic research as well as proof of successful technology development and its valorisation in industry. Ideally, you have worked in the industry for some years and are experienced as a leader of multidisciplinary teams. You enjoy interacting with students and you already have a well-established personal network in academia and industry.
