The CUSO Summer School 2012 on Hydrogen Bonding aims to cover modern aspects of hydrogen bonding, from dimers to oligomers, crystalline solids, liquids, and biomolecular systems. The following subjects will be investigated:(i) H-bonding theories: quantum chemical approaches, studies in gas-phase dimers and clusters, cooperativity and anti-cooperativity(ii) Macromolecular biological assemblies: H-bonding as a determinant of structure and activity of peptides, proteins, nucleic acids. Emphasis is placed on modelling techniques and collective phenomena, including solvation properties and solvation dynamics.(iii) H-bonds in solids: H-bonding by diffraction methods, effects of pressure and temperature, structure correlation analysis.
