The Commission on Instrumentation and Computing has organized a one day meeting to provide up-to-date information on how to access to Large Facilities.
It will be held at the Paul Sherrer Institut in Villigen (Switzerland) on October 19th 2009.
The information day would be informal, with a brief theretical introduction to synchrotron radiation and neutron diffraction followed by the visit of the beamlines.
Both the synchrotron radiation (SLS) and neutron (SINQ) facilities will be involved.

To be highly effective the number of participants will be limited to 20 on a “first come, first served” basis.

Accomodation grants at the Paul Scherrer Institut Guest House are available for the first 8 applicants and are addressed to young participants (PhD and post-doctoral students).
AIC will support the travel expenses of the first eight young Italian crystallographers, who will register for the Information Day on Large Facilities.
The amount of 100 euros will be made available to the first 8 crystallographers.
