A PhD studentship is available for 3 years with immediate effect to work in the group of Professor Hasnain who is based at the STFC Daresbury laboratory
(http://biophysics.dl.ac.uk). In addition to the structural biology of heme proteins, the PhD work will involve study of fast laser-induced Biochemical processes in Heme-proteins using spectroscopic probes including Resonance Raman spectroscopy.
Daresbury Laboratory has world-class experimental and computational facilities. The PhD studentship is open to EU citizens only (Non-EU residents can apply if they are able to arrange overseas tution fee). The successful candidate will be a highly motivated graduate in Physics,
Chemistry or Biological Sciences. He/she will be based at the Daresbury Laboratory and will be registered in the School of Biomolecular Sciences at the Liverpool John Moores University. The Stipend is £13,000 per annum.
